On July 30, Hanil Cement held an executive meeting and appointed Jeon Gun-sik, then president of Hanil Holdings, as the new president of Hanil Cement. President Jeon joined Hanil Cement in 1991, and worked as vice chief of the Danyang Plant, director of business planning at the headquarters, president of Hanil Networks, and as vice president of Hanil Hyundai Cement.

He started work as president of Hanil Holdings in 2018. In his inaugural speech, President Jeon said, “In order to become the true No. 1 in the cement industry, a strong spirit of ambition, dynamic thinking and strategy, and a can-do mindset are crucial,” requesting thinking outside the box to drive innovative change. He added, “I will become your pioneer and shield, as well as your sponsor who offers unsparing support,” encouraging company employees and executives to join the path of grand ambition.
