Hanil Cement succeeded in high floor pumping to 150m (app. 50th floor) for the first time in Korea for the "high-density floor ready-mixed mortar" that was jointly developed with DL E&C and which can reduce floor noise in apartments. Pumping was performed successfully at the construction site for the commercial-residential building "e-Pyeonhansesang Ilsan Urban Sky" in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do on the 18th; thus proving its commercial possibility and construction safety.

High-density floor ready-mixed mortar has higher density and heavier weight compared to the existing ready-mixed mortar; constructing on the higher floors of buildings requires distinguished pumping technologies. For this placement, an automatic measurement sensor was attached to maintain even physical performance, while also using a mobile silo developed by Hanil Cement. Professor Choi Myung-sung of Dankook University's Department of Civil Environmental Engineering, who is known to be one of the top experts in concrete pumping, was asked to conduct product properties analysis and construction performance prediction research.

The quality of high-density floor ready-mixed concrete has already been verified by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS). Back in February, a floor structure using this product as finishing material successfully passed the "weight impact noise reduction grade 1" performance test. The results are even more reliable as it was measured not at a lab but at the apartment construction site of e-Pyeonhansesang in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do.

Recently, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport revised the apartment floor performance inspection method. In accordance with the Housing Act amended in February of this year, performance inspections will be held with stricter standards from August 4. Randomly selected sample units will be tested, and they must pass the stricter noise levels of 49dB.

In preparation for this, Hanil Cement developed high-density floor ready-mixed mortar using heavy aggregate selected together with DL E&C over a two-year period. The density compared to past ready-mixed mortar for floors is 120%, making it effective for reducing weight impact noise otherwise known as "foot hammer." The newly developed high-density floor ready-mixed mortar is drawing attention from construction companies that have to prepare for stricter floor performance inspection. It has been reported that use of the high-density floor ready-mixed mortar is being reviewed by over 10 construction companies.

“We are preparing the basis for commercial production of high-density floor ready-mixed mortar for the first time in the domestic dry mortar industry, and we have already completed preparations for appropriate construction solutions. We will quickly respond to the demand of the construction industry,” Hanil Cement stated.
