The “Fence” team of Danyang Plant won the silver prize at the 49th National Quality Circle Contest hosted by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy on August 28 through September 1.

A total of 273 excellent teams selected from regional preliminaries held in 17 cities and provinces participated in this contest. The “Fence” team, which participated in the safety quality sector, received the silver award for “Reducing risk by improving the fit sealing process of cement” as its theme; the “Power” quality circle, which participated in the mutual cooperation sector, bagged the bronze award for “Reducing idle time by improving dust coal transportation facilities in the fuel supply process” as its theme.

The National Quality Circle Contest is held every year featuring workers as the central figures of revolutionizing the quality of industrial sites presenting excellent examples of manufacturing innovation and quality improvement such as carbon neutrality and improving on-site quality. The awarding ceremony will be held at the “49th National Quality Circle Contest” in November.
