Hanil Cement has been ranked No. 1 in the cement sector of the "2026 Korea’s Most Admired Companies," announced by Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC). By securing the top position for 23 consecutive years since the award’s inception in 2004, the company has once again solidified its status as a leader in the domestic cement industry.
This achievement is attributed to Hanil Cement's history of pioneering the building materials market. The company became the industry's first to go public in 1961, introduced Korea’s first Bulk Cement Truck (BCT) delivery system, and launched "Remitar," the nation's first dry mortar product, in 1991.
In 2004, the company became the first in the industry to establish an enterprise-wide quality management system by obtaining ISO 9001 certification across all business sites. Currently, Hanil Cement maintains an industry-leading eco-friendly product portfolio, with 35 products—including Remitar for plastering and general flooring—holding Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certifications.
Furthermore, with the establishment of the ESG Management Committee in 2022, the company has systematized detailed action plans across various sectors. By developing a mid-to-long-term roadmap for greenhouse gas emissions reduction, Hanil Cement aims to grow into a socially responsible centennial enterprise committed to sustainability.
"Korea’s Most Admired Companies" is a comprehensive evaluation model that assesses a firm's total value. KMAC has released these findings annually for 23 years. The latest results were based on surveys conducted from October to December last year, targeting industry executives, securities analysts, and general consumers.
