The Danyang Plant has introduced AI-powered drones to streamline inventory management and equipment inspections. Following the acquisition of industrial drones last year, ten employees obtained professional piloting licenses to support these operations.

The drones are equipped with AI software capable of spatial recognition and 3D mapping. This technology allows for safe, collision-free navigation in confined indoor spaces and enables precise measurement of stockpile volumes within warehouses.

A primary benefit of deploying drones is the significant enhancement of workplace safety. By utilizing drones for inspections in dusty or cramped environments, the risk of worker suffocation is mitigated. Furthermore, the drones can measure the thickness of elevated piping to assess corrosion or wear, allowing for comprehensive maintenance without the risk of fall-related accidents.

This technological integration has also resulted in substantial cost and time efficiencies. Expenses previously allocated to external inventory auditors have been reduced, and the need for temporary scaffolding for equipment inspections has been eliminated.

Operational management has seen marked improvements as well; inventory measurements, formerly conducted quarterly, are now performed monthly. This increased frequency, combined with the drones' ability to inspect blind spots inaccessible to personnel, ensures more precise and effective production management.
