Gongju plant of Hanil Cement was awarded the official commendation from the minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of KS certification grand prize at the 'World Standards Day Commemoration Ceremony 2016' on 27th of October.

In this award ceremony, Gongju plant was awarded the official commendation as it was recognized for its contribution to strengthening the quality of production goods with its standardization quality innovation activities.

Gongju plant holds six KS certifications for ceramic tile cement, adhesive for ceramic tile, dried cement mortar, polyvinyl acetate emulsion, and wood adhesive, and especially, it has introduced the national standard for the cement self-leveling mortar and hydraulic cement non-shrinking grout products for the first time in Korea.

In addition, it is furnishing 144 company standards and 87 test facilities, and every employee is exerting their effort to achieve customer satisfaction through operating the quality management system and engaging in improvement activities. In the meantime, the World Standards Day commemoration ceremony hosted by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and sponsored by the Korea Standards Association (KSA) is the only standard related event in the country that has been held since 2000.
